Jonathan Vigh's Colorado 14'er Trip Report Index

This page features all of my Colorado 14'er trip reports. Not only have I committed myself to the insane task of climbing all these peaks - I've also decided that each trip deserves a quality trip report - otherwise I'll never be able to keep all of the stories and peaks straight. As you will soon see, I'm quite behind in the reports department. Once I've climbed a peak (and eventually get around to writing it up), I'll add narratives, pictures, maps, and route information in a detailed trip report as time permits. A green link indicates that the trip report is complete. A yellow link indicates that the report has some limited information, but has not been completed. A red link indicates that the link is just to a stub page. Clicking on a picture will take you to the trip report associated with that picture. * indicates that this peak was climbed along with one or more other peaks that day -- only the mileage and vertical associated specifically with this peak is listed here.

There has been considerable debate as to what constitutes an official 14'er. Generally, some sort of objective separation criterion to obtain a list of peaks. One logical criterion is that to be ranked, a peak must rise at least 300 feet above its highest connecting saddle to a higher ranked peak. I am using Gerry Roach's list (see his book: Colorado's 14'ers: From Hikes to Climbs), which uses this criterion. Two of the 14'ers on his list do not meet this criterion, El Diente Peak and North Maroon Peak.
