Purpose of site:                             

    To highlight some aspects of my personal life that I think family or friends might be interested in, to share ideas, and to share some of the beauty and joy that I've encountered in my short time on this planet. Also, I've also posted a lot of links which are useful or interesting to me.

History of site:                             

    I created my very first web site was at Southern Adventist University, sometime during 1995-1996. It was a simple site which included a local weather forecast which I sometimes updated on a daily basis.

    The next incarnation of my personal web page was at The Pennsylvania State University (1998 - 2000). This is when I actually started adding some interesting content about my life and experiences. The page also had a small collection of essays which I wrote for a meteorology class I was taking at the time. Unfortunately, this page was lost after I left Penn State.

    The current incarnation of my personal web site was started in 2000 when I started attending Colorado State University. As you can see, the focus has expanded widely, covering my personal life and interests, a large number of trip reports to various mountains, and some topics that I find interesting.
