Welcome to the current events section of my blog. I will occasionally opine on the state of world affairs, geopolitics, and economics. From my perspective, geopolitics is much more interesting than domestic politics. Geopolitics reflects the flux and struggle of nations vying for power and influence in an increasingly crowded world. Conflicts constantly arise over resources, the environment, trade, power, or economic concerns. When these conflicts are not resolved through peaceful means, wars often break out. Often, these conflicts can be seen coming long before the outbreak of hostilities. Ideally, nations should work towards solutions which benefit all through peaceful negotiations.
